Purple Heart Baseball Game: Armed Forces Day, Angels vs White Sox, May 18, 2013

We were proud to host and honor members of the United States Armed Forces yesterday at the Big A. After the 12-9 win over the White Sox, Wounded Warriors from Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas and Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California competed in a three inning Purple Heart game. Here are some photo of these real American heroes in action.

An amazing day yesterday. I’m glad I was there to witness. I invited my friend to the game who is an Army veteran. These guys are true heroes.

Alfonso Sifuentes Gómez. Proud of you young man. God bless all those brave men who fought to protect peace.
Tio Toño

I am so proud of all the guys out there that played the game. I was in Virginia so I didn’t get to see the game. My son Kris McWhirt (#23) played first base. I am very proud of him! Go ARMY!!!!!!
